Union Made is a display type family consisting of eight fonts in total (bold, medium, slanted and lining capitals). Union Made is a versatile-yet-opinionated face. Inspired by the rich traditions and hardworking people of the midwest, its rooted in the industrious north.

Created as part of limited edition foundry LTR LTD, Union Made is meant for select usage with only 100 licenses in circulation.

In development, Union Made went through several phases of polish. Between sketches and renderings, the typeface’s identity was narrowed down until finally landing in its cute-but-tough niche. Once finding its personality, Union Made went through many rounds of revisions to find the perfect balance of truth to the original concept while maintaining its legibility and personality, even at small sizes.

Part of Union Made’s charm is within its variation. There is an unexpected cohesiveness among its serifs, stems, and crossbars and how they work within each letter and across the typeface as a whole.

Union Made was created with creative in mind. Its charm and unapologetic nature make it an easy font to use expressively or with restraint.
